I love the light in this one. A forest is a great source of beauty and big trees can create wonderful light and shadow.

I grew up around Mount Douglas and have enjoyed every walk I've made through its many ecosystems –  which change depending on your altitude or if you're on the north or south side, or if you're down in the creeks by the beach. I plan to do many more paintings of this park's many beautiful areas.

My lively brushwork does a good job of evoking the aliveness of the plant life. Mount Doug is a special place!
